Managing tags

Tagging is not only the best way to categorize and describe your files but also organise them. Say goodbye to hard to find files hidden within folders upon folders.

There is a number of ways to tag files but firstly you must set up your approved tags (see below). Now you can apply these tags to files by using the sidebar and batch tagging (see below) or in the asset edit modal (see below).

There are three ways to do this:

Logged in as admin an on the admin interface (not the portal). If you’re not already on the Assets page click Assets in the menu and navigate to the option where the assets you want to archive or restore:

  • Active
  • Approved
  • Unreleased
  • Expired
  • Unapproved
  • Archived

Now click on the file you want to archive and go to the asset detail page.

On the right click the Edit button here is how you get to the Edit modal which will popover the page. Now scroll down to the bottom and you’ll see the User Assigned Tags field. This is where you can add approved tags see here.

2. Logged in as admin an on the admin interface (not the portal). If you’re not already on the Assets page click Assets in the menu and navigate to the option where the assets you want to archive or restore:

  • Active
  • Approved
  • Unreleased
  • Expired
  • Unapproved
  • Archived

Now drag/star files into the sidebar you want to bulk archive or restore. Once your sidebar is ready take action by clicking the Edit all button and the the Add/Remove Tags option. This will over a popover field where you can add approved tags see here and click Save.

3. Logged as admin on the portal site not the(admin interface). Navigate to where the assets you want to edit are. Now select the file you want to edit and go to it’s detail page. You can click the Edit button to trigger the Edit modal which will popover the page. Now scroll down to the bottom and you’ll see the User Assigned Tags field. This is where you can add approved tags see here.
